Some information ahead of the Youth Championships at the end of the month.
All fencers/parents will get an email on Weds the week before with final details.
There are car parking charges because we are in a public venue. The station car parks opposite can also be used and weekends are quieter because less commuters. Charges in the photo.
If there are any people local to Stevenage who can offer an hour or two help on the evening of Friday 26th Jan, 2 people would be very grateful. This is to tape carpet pistes down to save set up time on Sat morning. Please email firstname.lastname@example.org if you can help (around 8pm).
We will again be having a bring and buy sale with 10% commission going to regional fundraising. If you have any secondhand kit you want to sell, bring it in the day and register it with the stall holder.
Steve the armour will be present both days.
We will be selling hot/cold drinks and snacks only (venue rules). You can purchase hot food at the venue cafe. Please bring small change to help us.
There will be a fundraising raffle on both days. Again small change is appreciated.
Should a fencer qualify on the day (or has a BYE and yet to pay) we will collect the £24 BYC fee on the day. Cash or cheque to BFA Eastern Region please. Should a parent not be with their fencer, please ensure they or their coach has the fee. This saves us the lengthy process of chasing people after the day and before the BYC entry cut off.
If you have a trophy from 2017 and haven’t already contacted Debbie, please let her know you or someone else is bringing it on the day. We have replaced the missing trophies so should have a full quota on the day 😁.
If you have any questions, please email email@example.com although all information will be sent on the 24th. Check in close times already published.
Thank you and we look forward to seeing you in just under 3 weeks.
