Coaches Sarah Paveley, Pierre Harper (TBC) and Linda Strachan are looking forward to working with you at this performance camp. Both coaches have a successful competitive career behind them, including commonwealth medals and Olympic team representation. As coaches, they bring their experience and enthusiasm to help you further your fencing career and enjoyment.

Come and join the fun while you improve your fencing. Learn new skills, get more fencing experience, and prepare for the new season. A 4-day foil training camp for juniors at all levels aged 8-18 years from beginners to performance athlete.

18 electric boxes available. All equipment supplied if you don’t have your own glove/breeches or whatever.

A minimum requirement of one term’s metal fencing is needed to benefit from this training camp. Fencers will be grouped according to experience to get the most from the course.

Coached by:

Sarah Paveley is Head Coach at Cambridge sword and started fencing when she was 9 and had a successful competitive career as a junior, senior and veteran, gaining two silver Commonwealth medals. She has been GB Squad and Team Member at Junior, Senior and Vets

Linda Strachan is an Olympian who competed in the women’s foil events at the 1988 Seoul and 1992 Barcelona Summer Olympics, won a total of seven National Senior Women’s Foil titles and a total of nine Commonwealth Games medals. Linda coaches Advanced and Elite Sessions at Cambridge Sword on Mondays and Wednesdays.
